Location: Hamilton County - Miami Whitewater Forest Badlands Trail

Directions: I-74 to Dry Fork Road exit, turn right on Dry Fork Road,
turn right on West Road to park entrance.
Level: Easy find, moderate trail

Need: Stamp, stamp pad, compass


Clues: From the Badlands trailhead follow the trail to the fork.
Take the right fork across the bridge. Go past the pawpaws to the
first erosion bar. From the left end of the bar take a compass
reading of 245 degrees up the hill. Go 5 paces to the large fallen
log. Behind the crook, you will find Purple Mountain Majesties. You
may continue the trail loop. The inner loop is 0.8 mile/30 minutes.
The outer loop is 1.6 miles/1 hour and is more challenging.
